Facial feminisation surgery ( FFS ) and techniques allow us to modify the face of a woman in order to exalt her existing beauty, or to make a male face more feminine.
Aesthetic medicine makes this possible, although for certain areas and acts, surgery is the only possible solution, and your doctor will guide you towards surgery.
Treatment consists of hyaluronic acid injections , taking into account the different anthropomorphic structures among men and women.
ANALYSis of facial features
The female forehead is vertical then convex in profile, without any projection at the level of the eyebrows. The eyebrow sits higher and the distance between the eyebrow and the hairline is about 5 cm.
The male forehead, seen in profile, follows an oblique line from the hairline to the eyebrows with a typical bony projection at the level of the eyebrows.
The female chin is more elegant, narrower and less prominent in relation to the male chin.
The height of the female chin, measured from the occlusal limit/edge of the lower incisors, to the lower edge of the jaw bone at the chin symphisis ( the chin cup ) is 20% less than that of the male chin.
The differences between the female and male nose are as follows:
– Naso-frontal angle: goes from 115°-135° for men, 120°-125° for women.
– Naso-labial angle: goes from 90°-100° for men, 95°-110° for women.
– Dorsum: must be slightly concave among women, convex, or even with a slight boss among men.
– Columella: straight for men, and ideally with a double curvature for women.
Symbolic of youth, attraction and sensuality, the lips should be well drawn, defined and plump.
The white ( of the ) upper lip is more concave among women than men.
Among women, the cupid’s bow is well-defined and the philtral crests ( lines from the nose to the cupid’s bow ) are clearly visible in relief. The naso-labial angle is 90°-95° among men, and 110°-120° among women. Please the text on ‘lip augmentation’.
Female cheekbones are higher than men’s, and well-centred on the upper jaw bone They are well-rounded and follow a gentle curve which goes from the nose to the zygomatic arches.
Men’s cheekbones are rectangular and flat.
Women’s eyebrows are above the bony margin of the forehead, and men’s eyebrows are below this ridge.
The tail of the female eyebrow is tapered, whilst it is horizontal in men.
The female jaw is less square-shaped, narrower ( especially its lower part ), and smaller than the masculine jaw.
Women’s temples are well-filled out, while men’s are a little bit hollow.
Hyaluronic acid is used to draw shapes and create volumes.
The curves are restructured and the areas of light and shade are defined in accordance with the principles of Beautiphication.
These injections aim to modify the elements of the face to have the characteristics listed above.
