Gynecomastia is defined by an increase in the volume of the mammary gland in humans. It is a development of the mammary gland centered on the areola, most often bilateral and symmetrical, of firm consistency and sensitive to palpation.
Gynecomastia is not adipomastia(or false gynecomastia) which is much more frequent and correspond to a local accumulation of fat.
Adipomastia is not centered with respect to the areola, their consistency is soft, insensitive, bilateral, symmetrical, but both can be associated (adipogynecomastia).
Fatty aggregation in the breast region in men is constitutional or caused by overweight.
STAGES

Stage 1
Mild enlargement of the breast bud concentrated behind the areola.

Stage 2
Breast growth spreading beyond the areola with edges that blend with the chest wall

Stage 3
Breast growth spreading beyond the areola, with clear edges and redundant skin

Stage 4
Marked breast enlargement with redundant skin and feminisation of the breast
POSSIBLE TREATMENTS

Cryolipolysis
The treatment of fat can be done by cryolipolysis after clinical and radiological examination.
Clinically it is sometimes difficult to distinguish adipose tissue from glande, ultrasound is required to slice.
Cryolipolysis is a technique of thinning by the cold. Two applicators are placed for one hour at the targeted adipose tissue. Adipose cells, exposed to low temperatures, destroy themselves spontaneously within three months. The treatment is painless; some redness and a small local sensitivity, the bruises are rare. There is no downtime.
The result is visible from 3 weeks but two to three months are necessary for the final result. It is possible that two sessions are necessary. The reduction of the breast volume brings a physical comfort, in particular during the clothing. A psychological benefit is provided by this type of intervention.
