
The penile papules are small protuberances located at the level of the crown of the glans whose dimensions vary between 1-3 mm.
They are present in the 15-50% of men, more common in uncircumcised men. There is no relationship to personal hygiene or sexual activity.
These lesions are harmless and non-contagious. Their treatment is only aesthetic. The recurrences are frequent, the lesions are reformed after a few years.
POSSIBLE TREATMENTS

Electrocoagulation
The principle is to coagulate and destroy the lesions by heating them by electric current. A kind of little needle is placed in the center of the lesion.
After effects
Small crusts are visible for a few days.
Pool, sauna and steam room are to be avoided for a week.
Sexual activity is possible once healing is complete.
Healing creams will be prescribed to accelerate healing.
CO2 or erbium ablatif laser
Vaporization of the lesion is done by light. The laser beam is directed at the lesion and destroys it instantly.


Dry snow
Dry ice is used in dermatological therapy for destructive purposes. In contact with the lesion the low temperature of this gas (-78 ° C) allows the ablation of the lesion.
